Target audience: researchers from the academic community and R&D staff from public or private organisations working in the field of balneotherapy. Under the heading “Innovation, health and the region in the face of demographic challenges”, the Faculty of Business Studies and Tourism in Ourense will serve as a forum for debate, addressing this topic from a multidimensional perspective, both nationally and internationally.

 

Submission of extended abstracts

The Scientific Committee will evaluate all proposals and notify authors by email by 15 July 2026 whether their submission has been accepted as an oral presentation or a poster, or has been rejected.

Once the paper has been accepted, authors may submit the full written paper.

Presenting papers at the conference

Poster Presentations

  • The Scientific Committee has provided a mandatory PowerPoint template for the preparation of poster presentations.
  • The poster size must be 84.1 × 118.9 cm (A0), portrait orientation.
  • Maximum of one page per poster.
  • Poster printing is the responsibility of the authors.
  • Authors must deliver their printed posters to the conference organizers when collecting their conference materials and, in any case, before the corresponding poster session begins.
  • Accepted posters will be presented during the assigned poster session. At least one author must remain by the poster throughout the entire session to answer questions from attendees.

Oral Presentations

  • PowerPoint or PDF presentations must follow the official conference template and be sent to the conference organizers at (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) cno later than 18 September at 12:00 p.m.
  • Each oral presentation will have a duration of 10 minutes. Presenters must strictly adhere to the allocated presentation time. Extensions beyond the scheduled time will not be permitted.

Publication

Accepted extended abstracts will be published in a book of abstracts, and full papers by authors who so wish will be published in a book of proceedings; both publications will have an ISBN.

Poster publication

Accepted posters may, if their authors so wish, be published as informative material in the Journal of Law, Water, Sustainability and Thermalism – REDAS-t (ISSN: 2444-9571).

REDAS-t is an annual electronic legal journal specialising in water, the environment, sustainable development and thermalism, published by the Faculty of Law at the University of Vigo (Ourense Campus), and its content is aimed at those interested in these subjects from both academic and professional backgrounds. Most of its content is therefore legal in nature, but there is also scope for articles on water, sustainability and thermalism from other academic fields that may be of direct or indirect scientific or educational interest within the legal context. For example, in Issue 7 (2023), posters from various academic fields accepted at the 4th International Water Congress were published.

Publication specifications:

  • Format: PDF
  • Language: the contents of REDAS-t are published in Spanish; for this reason, posters written in other languages must be translated by their authors; if the authors so wish, this translated version may be accompanied by the original language version, which would also be published.

Submissions: interested authors should submit their work via the REDAS-t OJS.

 

Best Oral Communication Award
Prof. Dr. Luis Rodríguez Míguez Award

  1. Original works presented as oral communications at the 2nd International Congress on Balneotherapy Management shall be eligible for this award.
  2. The chairs of the different thematic areas of the congress may, where appropriate, nominate one communication for consideration for the award. Subsequently, meeting as a panel, they shall evaluate the nominations and select the winning communication.
  3. The jury's decision shall be announced during the closing ceremony of the congress and shall be final.
  4. The award shall consist of a prize of €300, which will be granted to the corresponding author of the winning communication. In addition, an Honourable Mention may be awarded, although it will not carry any monetary prize.
  5. The award may be declared void if, in the opinion of the jury, none of the communications submitted merits the distinction.
  6. Participation in the congress implies full acceptance of these rules.
